Shirt to Shirt and a Giveaway

This shirt was inspired by the collar. See the adorable details? I LOVE it. I wanted to make a breezy, comfortable shirt to put it on. The shirt was patterned after a shirt in my closet that fits well and is a pull over style so it was easy to replicate. Or at least it should have been.
This shirt was a long time in the making and I took the arms off 4-5 times to get it right so I don't think this one will have a tutorial. I just love the way it turned out and wanted to share. The buttons down the back are just for show but I love that they have gathering between them. The yoke was one piece and you could sew it onto any shirt, so don't worry if you can't make a shirt. The yoke is from Decorative Details. It is an amazing shop where you can find all sorts of ribbons, bibs, elastics and collars.  I love the items and I love the prices. You should definitely check out her shop.
In fact I LOVE her shop so much that I asked her if she wanted to do a giveaway for Candied Apple's readers and she agreed! Decorative Details is giving away $15 of store credit to the winner! That will buy a whole lot of goodness! All you have to do is visit her shop and come back here to leave a comment ON THIS POST telling me what your favorite item is in the shop. If you want a bonus entry you can blog about the giveaway or post it on facebook and then come back and leave a second comment.

The giveaway will be open through Thursday February 10 at midnight Pacific Standard Time. The winner will be announced on Friday February 11.

Very nice. I like that you had a vision and went with it.

PS. I too wish that we were neighbors, although I don't know if close proximity would help the creative impact that you already have on me from across the country. I recently made a pair of pants because you did. And some pants for Clark because I had leftover fabric. So, you see, if you lived next door to me, I might just turn into you... on second thought- maybe that would be a good thing!

Any plans to start up your etsy shop again? Cause can I please buy some of your stuff??

My favorite was the Eskimo beaded applique. And you're right. Very reasonable prices.

I'm loving the bundle heat wave trims! Maybe I figured if I start making cute summer dresses and skirts with something like this, then i wont mind the fact that my toes are numb right now!

Hi Cami. Thanks for the shout out and I too love your blog. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the cool boy stuff you make since I have two boys of my own. I love that you are digging on my trims and embellishments. The eskimo and tribal items are some of my favorites. Thanks for stopping by my shop at DecorativeDetails. I can't wait to see who won and what you actually pick out. Plus I can't wait to come back and see what Cami is up to next.
