New Growth Chart

I've mentioned a time or two that I have a fabulous friend named Katie who has a vinyl business over at Vinyl Vineyard. She's fabulous and I love her style. I recently got a growth chart vinyl from her and have been searching all over for a piece of old wood to make a growth chart out of.
I got tired of searching so I went to Home Depot and bought a 6 foot long board and Calder and I took a hammer to it. It was a lot of fun and I love the way it turned out. We stained it a dark walnut, which I also love. Then we put the vinyl on. It turned out really great! It may be a little dark but I still really love it.
You can get your own growth chart vinyl over at Vinyl Vineyard. Oh and she ships crazy fast and does beautiful custom work. I love it.

Lollipop Shoe Rack

A few weeks ago we were at Ikea when Calder spotted these adorable little legs and really wanted to buy them. They were $3.00 in the As-Is section, so I couldn't refuse. We quickly came up with a project that needed done. We needed an entryway shoe rack.
It is basically a smaller version of the bench we made using spare bed parts. These are just some more of those parts. Don't worry, I have even more so there are more projects in my future. Calder chose the colors to paint the boards and helped me drill the legs on. I love doing projects with him. He gets so into it.
Oh who am I kidding. I love the drill too.

New Outfit Reveal

I know. Long time no see. Sorry guys. I've been traveling and nesting and not blogging. Hopefully I can pop in here a bit more frequently to show you some of the projects I've been doing. This new Spring outfit is one of those. Here's what it looks like:
As you may remember I am buying a new outfit each quarter this year. If it works well I will continue to buy my clothes this way. I love that I can choose whatever I want but it is a little daunting to think I will only buy 4 shirts this year. This is my first quarter outfit. I'm actually not buying a second quarter outfit until after the baby is born. It is so much easier when you're not pregnant.
 Here's the item breakdown:
Jacket from Nordstrom
White (maternity) shirt: Shade
Skirt: I made it. I couldn't find anything I liked so this one will be converted to a non-maternity version after I have the baby.
Shoes: Miz Mooz from Nordstrom They are even on sale now!
Bag: Thrifted
Necklace and Bracelet: Junghwa on Etsy. I love so much of her stuff.
I love these shoes. I wear them with everything and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I have a few friends who own Miz Mooz shoes and they also love them. I may be buying a few more pairs of this brand this year.
I also love the jewelery. I originally gravitated toward statement pieces but decided I really wanted something I could wear every day. And I have. I don't really take it off at all and it looks awesome with everything. It's perfect for the busy mom. Also, can I just say I really love everything in  Junghwa's shop! You should check her out here.
