Me Made March - March 31

Yay! It's the last day in March. I am a little surprised at how easy Me Made March was. I did have some repeat days but this red and blue striped shirt is the only thing I wore more than twice. This skirt is also made by me. I don't wear it much because it is a little big and therefore fits funny. The zipper was also one of my first zippers and I don't love the way it puckers at the bottom. No, I don't want to show you my zipper puckers.
Before making sure the skirt fit I did all the top stitching. It would be a beast to go back and take it out to resize it. So I made this belt with the hope that it would bring the waist in a little. It does and I really like the red buttons. It is a comfortable skirt though, so it has that going for it.
Cardigan: Charlotte Russe
Shirt: made by me
Skirt: made by me

I am so glad I did Me Made March. I have learned a lot about what I need in my closet. I could use a few more day dresses. The maxi dress is awesome and I could use another. I should probably make another pair of pants or shorts since the ones I made turned out so well and pants are always good. I may make a navy cardigan since the one I have gets worn so much it has holes. I have been looking for one at the thrift store (in any size since I can alter it) and can't seem to find any. I guess they are something people hold on to. I've learned that I can make clothes that look store bought and that I like as much, if not more than store bought. The above skirt is not a good example here.

Here is what I wore this month:

  3. Cami I went to the store looking for shorts and ended up with a couple skirts that will be great for summer. One is a maxi skirt and the other a high waste mid-calf. You are welcome to copy them. Perhaps an alternative to a day dress.
