Clarendon Lane

You know those people who seem to ooze with style and talent? I have a friend named Katie who is that person. She has this amazing blog called Clarendon Lane. She uses it to share all sorts of useful information and ideas. One of my favorite recent posts was on how to organize all your paperwork. Some of my favorite past posts are Organization Rules, Big Hair Day (this video totally changed the way I curl my hair), and Decorating Style. Katie is so honest and true on her blog. She is funny and clever. I love her suggestion to hang the kid's towels in their bedroom instead of the bathroom. I also love all her paint suggestions and techniques.

Recently Katie started offering design services for FREE. All  you have to do is send her an email with pictures and your questions. She has a running list on the blog so you can see where you are on the list and then when it's your turn she will email you with ideas, suggestions, links to things she thinks would look good in your room or whatever design question you ask. 

I recently asked her to help me with ideas for my living room. I don't despise my living room, I just don't feel like it is ME. You know?  She gave me some awesome tips that I can't wait to try. I will definitely show you when I get things moving. Right now I'm focusing on the quilt I'm making for my bed, which honestly is taking longer than I would like. I know if I put it off for a while it will never get finished, so I have to keep on sewing. As soon as I get the bedroom done I will definitely start the living room.
