The first thing out of the box was this Gilli Abie 2Fer Polka Dot Print Faux Wrap dress for $68.00.
And here is the 41Hawthorn Hobbes Striped Crew Neck Sweater for $58.00.
Up next is the 41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan for $48.00.
And the Margaret M Chrisiana Jacquard Print Pencil Skirt for $78.00.
The item I liked the most and the one I kept was this cardigan. I've wanted an open front cardigan like this for a while, so it fit the bill. The color is a nice jade green. So, I did keep this one. I don't know if I would have kept it if I liked something else better, but to save myself from losing the styling fee, I kept it and am excited to wear it, so that's a win.
And next is the pencil skirt. It was fine. I do like the way it fits but I don't like the colors or print. Maybe jacquard isn't for me.Ah this dress. It is really not awesome. I like the top and feel like it fits well but it is just too short and pretty boring.
Somehow I didn't take a picture of this dress on the hanger but this is the 41Hawthorn Faya Sleeveless Keyhole Fit & Flare Dress for $88. It was fine but too short. I would have been tempted to keep it if it was longer and a more interesting color. I feel like it is just boring.
The keyhole detail was fun though.
I feel like of the 5 fixes I got only one of them was amazing. Two others were good and the other two were terrible. I was hoping it really did get better with time. So, for now, I don't have any fixes scheduled and I'm considering trying Front Door Fashion. Does anyone have any experience with that? How you you all feeling about Stitch Fix? Should I give them another shot? I absolutely LOVE the idea of getting a surprise box of clothes at your door. It just hasn't worked out as well in practice as I had hoped.

I like the idea of a surprise, but I take my surprises in a different way: the thrift store or consignment store. I feel like I can't always walk in looking for something specific, but I can always find things that I like, and with low prices, I don't have to feel constrained by choosing something that's not typical for me. I like the fun of making little alterations (making trousers "skinny" or adding ankle zips) or finding a blouse that is perfect with a shirt but many sizes too big. Of course, this is a time-consuming way to shop, but for me it's fun.
ReplyDeleteI say go with what you like to do. You always look put together and beautiful!
Happy thanksgiving!
